SAIDO Learning is an innovative, non-pharmacological treatment that has been clinically proven to improve the symptoms of dementia and dramatically impact the quality of life for older adults. Results of the research trial are impressive. In every case, the residents participating in SAIDO Learning were markedly improved. Virtual Dementia Training
At Waterford Place, we strongly believe that in order to care for someone living with dementia, we need to better understand his/her world. In our Virtual Dementia Room, people experience what it means to live with dementia. People who have been working with dementia patients for years say that this training has given them a higher level of empathy and true understanding. We also offer this room to the public for training, in order to enhance awareness and understanding of dementia in the community. Sponsor a session today!
Cooking Up Memories
Food, family, and Fellowship. Our chef, Justin, and his team, turn our Memory Care kitchen into Grandma or Grandpa’s kitchen! Residents and family members bring their favorite family recipes to be recreated with a group of other memory care residents. This activity brings back memories through all 5 senses – especially taste! Sponsor a Cooking Up Memories session today!
